WELCOME BACK!

I hope everyone had a summer full of rest and relaxation! One of my favorite times of the year is the first days of school. Each school year brings the promise and hope to educate our children with the best possible resources, up-to-date instructional strategies with the care and commitment that only Blue Ridge ISD can offer.

The Blue Ridge ISD Administration and Teachers have been working all summer to improve our instructional alignment to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). We expect to see enhanced student engagement each day in our classrooms throughout our school district. Our teachers expect to challenge our students each day in order to prepare them to be successful not only this year but add to the foundation for their success for their educational years to follow as a Blue Ridge Tiger.

Our maintenance and custodial staff worked hard all summer to prepare each campus with fresh coats of paint, new carpet, waxed floors, and renovated the boys/girls Junior High School dressing rooms. I am pleased at the fresh look within our buildings for our students to enjoy while receiving a quality education.

The Blue Ridge Board of Trustees worked throughout the summer to finalize the plans for our new football stadium and track. This has taken a lot of work and years of financial planning to be able to provide a quality facility that everyone can be proud to enjoy for many years. This project is one step closer to our twenty year facility plan that will enhance educational opportunities for our children and provide a place for our community to enjoy throughout the year.

I wish to urge every parent to be involved in the education of their child. Working together will allow our district to provide an education that meets the needs of every student. We have multiple activities planned that offer parents an opportunity to participate in the education of their child. Please take advantage and time out of your day to attend these educational programs that will help support your student and increase their learning opportunities. You might find out that education is just as much fun for the parents as it is for our students.

Your Blue Ridge Tiger Superintendent

Todd Lintzen
