Blue Ridge ISD is proud to announce that Amanda Johns, principal of Blue Ridge Elementary, has been named the recipient of the prestigious Patsy Hochman Academy Scholarship, awarded by the Learning Forward Foundation. This award recognizes educators who exemplify a commitment to designing and implementing professional learning systems that empower teachers and enhance student outcomes.
This scholarship will enable Ms. Johns to attend The Learning Forward Academy, a 2 ½-year professional development program that brings together educators worldwide to address key challenges in teaching and learning. Participants collaborate with expert coaches and peers to create impactful professional learning conditions that drive success for both educators and students.
We are thrilled for Ms. Johns and her well-deserved recognition. Her participation in this program will bring immense value to our district, further enhancing the quality of education at Blue Ridge Elementary School.
