These scholarships are a testament to the hard work, passion, and academic excellence these students have shown in their pursuit of careers in agriculture. Their achievements reflect their commitment to advancing sustainable farming practices, innovation in the agricultural industry, and community service.

We are extremely proud of these students and their accomplishments,” said Luke Parr, BRHS agriculture and CTE teacher. “They have shown leadership both inside and outside the classroom and are set to make a significant impact on the future of agriculture. We are excited to see where their education takes them, and we know they will continue to excel.”

Rowe and Strickland gained collegiate notice as members of the third highest team at the state Livestock Judging Contest. Additionally they competed at the American Royal National Livestock Judging Contest and ranked fourth as a team.

Jobe and Garnica are among the top meat judging students in the state. They have numerous team and individual accolades in this category. They both look forward to finishing their high school careers on a high note this spring.

Norris participated in the HVAC preparation program at Blue Ridge High School through the partnership with Princeton ISD. Kevin Self, BRHS alumni and owner of ACIS, looks forward to Norris joining the ACIS team upon completion of his studies.

The scholarships will provide financial support to cover tuition, research opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences at the students' respective schools. These opportunities will allow them to gain deeper insights into technologies, sustainability, and business practices.

“We are thrilled to have such promising young leaders in their individual fields, and we look forward to watching them grow in their careers,” said Sean Williams, BRHS agriculture and CTE teacher. “Their commitment to their education is an inspiration to all of our students.”

As these students prepare for their next academic journey, Blue Ridge High School wishes them well.
