Principal Announcement

At the school board meeting on Monday, March 31st, Blue Ridge ISD officially hired Mr. Al Gallo as the permanent principal for the 2025-2026 school year. Mr. Gallo is currently the Assistant Principal at Richardson High School, and he previously worked in Plano ISD in that same capacity.

A thorough search process took place over the past few months, and Mr. Gallo was the unanimous recommendation from the 11-person interview committee. The committee felt like his personality, his skills, and his administrative abilities will be a perfect fit for Blue Ridge Middle School.

Dr. Floyd stated that, “Mr. Gallo’s love of learning, his sense of service, and his connection with students and faculty/staff members really shined through during his interview. We are excited to have Mr. Gallo coming in (officially this summer) to lead Blue Ridge Middle School. And it is our desire for him to create administrative stability at that campus for many years to come.”

Mr. Gallo stated, “I want to continue the commitment of community in Blue Ridge. I look forward to collaborating with the Blue Ridge ISD leadership, the faculty, staff, students, and community members to provide our students with the tools and resources they need to follow their dreams.”

Mr. Gallo will be finishing out the school year at Richardson High School, but he will also plan to be here a few days off and on at BRMS during April/May. Then he will begin full time in the summer. Welcome, Mr. Gallo!
