Students watched Tim Burton’s A Nightmare Before Christmas, and then created their own self portrait based on his iconic art style. They focused on sharp facial features, big eyes, thin necks, and lots of shading. Most important - make it look like them! They did a great job. Shout out to our art teacher Coach Q for teaching our students these skills.

Mrs. Wiberg got the first BRISD recognition coin at BRMS. She encompasses everything BRISD stands for. She makes great connections with staff and students. She has high expectations and the capability to make learning relevant. Today we are sad to see her move to another state but her legacy will remain here. We will miss her.
First 9 weeks trust card incentive day was a success. The students had a great time crafting and playing football.
